Before and After

Before...

Here we are. Nerdy as they come. Braces, glasses, retainers, frizzy hair, giggling about boys, dreaming about cars, wishing life would go faster....

After...

After three drivers licenses, two sets of contacts, three high school diplomas, two weddings, one straightening iron...we arrived at adulthood. Still friends. Still together. Still giggling about boys.

Monday the 12th was the second wedding anniversary of my best friend, Annie, and her husband, Ryan. I totally forgot about this, so I am writing them a late happy anniversary post.

In their honor, I have written this poem. Now marvel at my amazing skillz:

Roses are red. Violets are blue. Ryan & Annie, I heart you.

When I first heard that Annie was getting married, I was a little skeptical to be completely honest. But when I saw her with Ryan on their wedding though, I knew she was marrying the right guy. I used to worry about Annie a lot. Was she okay emotionally? Was she making friends? Who was making sure she brushed her hair, ate more than a piece of bread and wore real shoes when it was cold outside?? But now I don't worry about her because she's got Ryan. He makes sure she can find her wallet, and she makes sure he doesn't look like an orange pumpkin, and I couldn't be happier for them =) They make each other laugh and take care of each other when they cry. And even when they fight, there's no one else they'd rather be with. Congratulations you guys. You make a wonderful couple, and I love you both very much =)

See the new banner??? Isn't the duckie cute?! My best friend, Annie, made it for me =) Don't you just love it? Of course you do! Who can argue with the duckie?

I paint fumes. The world always seems so much more...logical. This was the beginning of a post that I started writing yesterday. Apparently, the paint fumes were doing something, but that's not necessarily a good thing.

This weekend, I've been helping my best friend Annie, and her husband Ryan paint their apartment. Well...actually, they've been painting, and I've been dripping paint on the carpet, breaking things and playing with the Cassinater. We tried to make sure that we properly ventilated the room, but when it's -2 degrees outside, it's not the easiest thing to do. It's been very exciting. At least their apartment isn't that lovely shade of mental institution beige anymore. It's been a really fun weekend :) Last night, they took me to Cold Stone Creamery for the first time. They tried to warn me, but alas I did not listen. I almost died from the ice creamy goodness overload! Hopefully, I've learned my lesson ;)

Care Package

I picked up the most wonderful surprise at the post office today! My best friend, Annie Poodles, sent me a care package! It's is the most awesomest of care packages too =D

It had all sorts of FABULOUS goodies in it! There was two large bags of Jelly Belly Beans (My favorite! Yummy =), model paints for Mike, alphabet & number refridgerator magnets, a really fun tube container with lots of little Play-Doh tubs in it, designer chocolates (Oh my gosh. These are so awesome! They have fillings in them that I never would have thought would taste good in chocolate like Jasmine, Apple pie and Lemon & Chili. They may sound weird, but they are oh so delicious!), and of course there were toys for Piper.

A little catnip elephant, and a ball that wobbles all crazy when you roll it.

After I sampled the chocolate and jelly beans, I played with the magnets. For over an hour (They are sooooo much fun!!).

Thank you so much Annie! It was just what I needed to get me through the end of the week =) I love you. Thanks for being an awesome best friend!

Proud to be the number one website for hopping spiders!

After reading Annie's blog today, I became rather curious. What kind of obscure MSN searches had brought people to my blog? So, I checked my stats and there were 4 different MSN searches: michigan spiders, rhymes, what rhymes with orange?, & hopping spiders. Apparently, my blog is the number one search result for hopping spiders.

It's not really a huge deal to other people, but I think it's kind a cool that 4 people accidentally stumbled across my blog. Not that anything I write is so good or interesting as to keep them coming back, but still. They were here, and I am thrilled.

Starting Anew

This is my very first post on my new Typepad blog =D Annie is so wonderful for giving this to me! (Thank you so much!)

I'm going to try and keep this blog under wraps because I don't think I can make this one friends only, and it is SO much cooler than livejournal. Not to dis LJ or anything, but this I can customize up to wazoo (That's also because it's not a free account...but still =p)
